About Chaya the Medium

I am Chaya, a fourth-generation Romani reader and medium. I was raised between Ireland, the UK, Canada and Bulgaria. I have lived in different parts of the world and travelled to India and Ethiopia as part of reconnecting with my heritage.

My ancestry

I already knew I was Roma through my family and the way I was raised. My ancestry results gave me another lens on that story: 33% Balkan Roma, 22% Ethiopian, 21% Ashkenazi Jewish, 14% Romanian, 6% Northern Indian and 4% Sephardic Jewish. A DNA result is only one part of heritage. It sits alongside family memory, lived experience and the places that have shaped me.

My mum Sinah, my grandmother Eldria, and the women before them had the gift too. My grandmother began teaching me when I was twelve. I opened my public practice in 2019 and have since delivered 39,000 readings, with a 4.9 out of 5 star rating.

Each reading begins with the question and details you choose to share. I take the time to sit with it, write carefully and give you something you can come back to. I do not research clients online or pretend certainty where there is none.
