What Happens in a Live WhatsApp Psychic Reading
A live WhatsApp reading is a real-time written conversation with a named reader in my family. Here is what happens from booking to the last message, and what a reading cannot do.
People ask me what actually happens in one of my family's WhatsApp readings, usually because they have never had a reading by text and are not sure whether it will feel real. This is the honest version, from booking to the last message, so you know what you are paying for before you pay.
The WhatsApp readings are part of Chaya's Kumpania, the small family circle around my work. I do not run the WhatsApp rota myself. My daughter Ren and my cousin Daniel share it, and whichever of them is on duty when your message arrives reads for you.
A live conversation, not a report
A WhatsApp reading is a real-time written conversation. It is not a voice call, not a video call and not a report that arrives later in your inbox. You type, the reader answers, you reply, and the reading moves with what you say. That back and forth is the whole point. If an answer raises a second question, you can ask it straight away instead of waiting for another order.
Some people prefer text for practical reasons. They are at work, the house is not quiet, or they find it easier to write something painful than to say it out loud. Others like having the conversation to read again afterwards, because it stays in the chat on their own phone.
The two lengths and what they cost
There are two options:
- The live WhatsApp reading, up to one hour, US$15.
- The two hour WhatsApp reading, up to two hours, US$30.
An hour suits one situation with a few follow-up questions. Two hours is for when there is a whole situation to work through, with more than one person or more than one thread to follow. Code TEXT takes 25% off either one at checkout.
Booking, and how your PIN arrives
Checkout asks only for an email address and a phone number. You do not fill in a long form before you pay. Your six digit PIN and the private WhatsApp number are on the next screen after payment, and the same details are sent to your email, so you have them in two places.
From there it is three steps:
- Save the number to your phone as a new contact. Calling it Chaya's Kumpania makes it easy to find.
- Open WhatsApp and message that contact first. WhatsApp does not let us start the chat, so nothing begins until your message arrives.
- Send your PIN as your first message, with your question. The reader on duty picks it up and your session starts.
Your time is counted from your first message, not from checkout, so you can book and then wait until you are somewhere comfortable.
What the reader asks you
Once you have sent your PIN, the reader asks for your first name, your date of birth and the question you want to bring. You give these in the chat rather than at checkout, so you are not typing the same details twice.
After that, it is a conversation. The reader tells you what they are picking up, and you can add context, correct something that does not fit, or ask them to go further into one part. A good live reading is not a test where you sit silent to see whether the reader guesses right. Telling them what matters to you helps them spend the time on what you actually came for.
What to ask in a WhatsApp reading
The questions that work best are specific and about you. Some examples:
- What do I need to understand about where this relationship is now?
- What is holding me back from making a decision about my job?
- What should I pay attention to over the next few months?
- Is there something I keep missing in the way this situation repeats?
Questions about another person are fine, but frame them around your part. "What is going on between us, and what can I do?" gives the reader more to work with than "Does he love me, yes or no?" If you are not sure how to word yours, my guide on what to ask a psychic has more examples.
What a reading cannot do
I would rather you hear this from me before you book. A reading cannot guarantee an outcome. It cannot make another person feel or do something, and it cannot confirm what someone else is thinking as if it were a fact. It does not replace medical, legal, financial or mental health advice, and if you are in danger, contact your local emergency services rather than a reader.
What a reading can do is give you another perspective on your situation, help you put words to something you have been circling, and point out what you might want to look at more closely. Readings are for personal insight and entertainment. We read for clients aged eighteen and over only.
Where WhatsApp readings work
WhatsApp readings work wherever you can use WhatsApp. That is the main difference from the Kumpania phone line, which takes calls from Canada and the USA only. If you are outside North America and want a live reading, WhatsApp is the one to choose. If you would rather hear a voice, read what to expect from a psychic phone reading.
If you need to stop partway
Life interrupts. If you need to step away, tell your reader and pick the conversation back up in the same chat. The session is yours until your time is used.
Who you are talking to
Ren is my daughter. She grew up around the same reading tradition I did, and she reads the live written sessions. Daniel is my cousin, a psychic artist and reader, and he shares the WhatsApp rota with Ren. Neither of them is a stranger hired from a platform. You can read more about both of them, and the rest of the family, on the Kumpania page.
If what you want is a considered written reading from me rather than a live conversation, that is a different service. My email psychic readings arrive within 48 hours.
