The Two of Cups as an Outcome: Mutual Connection

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Two of Cups as an outcome points to a shared connection. Here is what it means upright, reversed, in love and for work.

The Two of Cups as an outcome is mutual connection. The situation is heading toward a bond where both people give and receive in balance.

What the Two of Cups means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Two of Cups guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with unified love, partnership and mutual attraction. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Two of Cups shows the outcome as a meeting of equals. Attraction is returned, a partnership forms or a rift is healed with a genuine reconciliation.

The Two of Cups reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Two of Cups as an outcome points to imbalance or a break in connection. One person gives more, or communication has gone quiet. Honest talk restores it.

The Two of Cups as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Two of Cups is one of the best cards you can draw: mutual feelings and a relationship with real partnership.

The Two of Cups as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Two of Cups as an outcome favours partnerships, collaborations and agreements that suit both sides. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Reciprocity helps this outcome. Meet the other person halfway.

For comparison, the Lovers as an outcome and the Three of Cups as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Two of Cups card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Two of Cups as advice, the Two of Cups as feelings and the Two of Cups as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
