The Three of Cups as an Outcome: Celebration

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Three of Cups as an outcome is a celebration. Here is what it says about where things are heading.

The Three of Cups as an outcome is celebration. The situation is heading toward good news, friendship and a reason to gather.

What the Three of Cups means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Three of Cups guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with celebration, friendship, creativity and collaborations. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Three of Cups shows the outcome shared with others. A reunion, a party, an engagement or a team success. Support from friends plays a part.

The Three of Cups reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Three of Cups as an outcome warns of gossip, overindulgence or a third party complicating things. Watch who you confide in.

The Three of Cups as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Three of Cups favours happy news and a relationship your friends celebrate. Reversed, it can point to a third person involved.

The Three of Cups as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Three of Cups as an outcome favours teamwork, events and collaborations that people enjoy. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Community helps this outcome. Lean on friends and share the good news.

For comparison, the Two of Cups as an outcome and the Four of Cups as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Three of Cups card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Three of Cups as advice, the Three of Cups as feelings and the Three of Cups as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
