The Ace of Swords as an Outcome: A Breakthrough

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Ace of Swords as an outcome brings a moment of clarity. Here is what it means in love, at work and reversed.

The Ace of Swords as an outcome is a breakthrough. The situation is heading toward clarity: an idea, a truth or a decision that cuts through confusion.

What the Ace of Swords means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Ace of Swords guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with breakthroughs, new ideas, mental clarity and success. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Ace of Swords shows the outcome as a clear head. You understand what is happening and what to do about it. It favours honest communication and fresh thinking.

The Ace of Swords reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Ace of Swords as an outcome points to confusion or ideas that do not land. Wait for clarity before acting.

The Ace of Swords as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Ace of Swords favours an honest conversation that clears the air.

The Ace of Swords as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Ace of Swords as an outcome favours new ideas, strategy and clear decisions. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Clear thinking helps this outcome. Write down what you know to be true.

For comparison, the Two of Swords as an outcome and Justice as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Ace of Swords card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Ace of Swords as advice, the Ace of Swords as feelings and the Ace of Swords as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
