Justice as an Outcome: A Fair Result

Written by Chaya the Medium.

Justice as an outcome says you will get what is fair. Here is what that means for love, for work and when the card is reversed.

Justice as an outcome is a fair result. The situation is heading toward a decision that reflects what actually happened. If you have acted honestly, that is good news.

What Justice means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's Justice guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with justice, fairness, truth, cause and effect and law. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Major Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, Justice shows the outcome balancing the scales. Agreements are honoured, contracts are settled and the truth comes out. It is the traditional card for legal matters going the fair way.

Justice reversed as an outcome

Reversed, Justice as an outcome warns of unfairness, dishonesty or avoiding accountability. Someone may not tell the whole truth, including you. Facing your own part is the quickest way back to balance.

Justice as a love outcome

As a love outcome, Justice favours honest, balanced relationships where both people take responsibility. It can also point to a decision about commitment made with clear eyes.

Justice as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, Justice as an outcome favours contracts, negotiations, legal matters and any situation where accurate records protect you. Take qualified legal advice on anything serious. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Honesty helps this outcome. Keep your records straight, tell the truth and own your part.

For comparison, Judgement as an outcome and the Emperor as an outcome point somewhere different. The Justice card meaning page covers the card in full, and Justice as advice, Justice as feelings and Justice as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
