The Five of Wands as an Outcome: Competition

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Five of Wands as an outcome is competition and friction. Here is what it means in love, at work and reversed.

The Five of Wands as an outcome is competition. The situation is heading toward friction, debate or a struggle for position.

What the Five of Wands means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Five of Wands guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with conflict, disagreements, competition, tension and diversity. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Five of Wands shows the outcome as a contest. It is rarely dangerous; it is noisy. It tests your skill.

The Five of Wands reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Five of Wands as an outcome points to conflict avoided or resolved. Things calm down.

The Five of Wands as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Five of Wands warns of arguments or rivals. Choose which battles matter.

The Five of Wands as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Five of Wands as an outcome points to competitive markets or office tension. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.
