The Knight of Pentacles as Feelings: Slow, Serious and Reliable
The Knight of Pentacles sits on a horse that is not moving. Here is what I would read when he appears as someone's feelings, and why the stillness is the point.
If you want the short answer, I would read the Knight of Pentacles as feelings that are serious, steady and unhurried. In a feelings position the card suggests the person feels something solid for you and is in no rush to dramatise it. It does not tell you they will say so soon. This Knight does things properly, and properly takes time.
This is the least exciting Knight and the one most likely to still be there in five years. People underrate him in love questions.
The Knight of Pentacles upright as feelings
Tina Gong's the Knight of Pentacles guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with hard work, routine, responsibility and dependable progress. When the card lands in a position that asks how someone feels about you, I read those meanings as the shape of the feeling rather than as a verdict on the person.
Upright, I read the Knight of Pentacles as a person whose feeling for you is practical and real: they think about how you would fit into their life, they show care through reliability, and they are not interested in games. The feeling may look like a lack of feeling to someone used to fireworks.
What I would not read into it is urgency. The Knight of Pentacles will not sweep you anywhere. He will turn up on Tuesday because he said he would, and in his world that is the declaration.
What the card does not tell you
The card does not confirm that the person is romantically rather than fondly interested, that they will move faster if encouraged, or that steadiness means passion is also there. No card lets a reader check a real person's private feelings. What a card can do is give you an honest picture of the feeling you are hoping for or fearing, and a prompt to compare it with how the person actually behaves.
The Knight of Pentacles reversed as feelings
Reversed, the Knight of Pentacles is often read as stagnation, boredom, or stubbornness. As feelings, I read the reversal as interest that has stalled into routine, or as a person so cautious that the feeling never becomes anything, however real it is.
In your own question, ask which fits. Has the relationship become a habit with the feeling drained out? Or is the person so careful that nothing ever starts? A reversed card is a prompt to notice which of those is true from what you can see, not a diagnosis of the other person.
The Knight of Pentacles as an ex's feelings
Asked about an ex, the Knight of Pentacles can suggest that their feelings for you are steady and unchanged, which is not the same as wanting to try again. Some people carry a settled regard for an ex for years without it moving them an inch. My guide to asking a psychic whether an ex will come back explains what a reading can and cannot say about that question.
The Knight of Pentacles as a new person's feelings
For someone new, this card describes someone who is taking you seriously and taking their time about it. If you want to know how they feel, watch what they do over a month rather than what they say in a week.
What to watch for in their behaviour
Look for consistency: they do what they say, they remember practical things about your life, they build toward you slowly. A Knight of Pentacles feeling is almost invisible in a single evening and unmistakable over a season.
What to record before drawing again
Keep three short notes: the question you asked, the dependable things the person has done, and whether you can be happy with a feeling that shows itself slowly. The third note is honest about you. Another draw will mostly reflect the same still horse.
For comparison, the Knight of Swords as feelings and the King of Pentacles as feelings describe different feelings.
