The Knight of Wands as Feelings: Hot, Fast and Hard to Hold
The Knight of Wands is the rider leaning forward on a rearing horse. Here is what I would read when he appears as someone's feelings, and why speed is the whole story.
If you want the short answer, I would read the Knight of Wands as feelings that are passionate, impulsive and in a hurry. In a feelings position the card suggests the person is strongly attracted to you, excited, and inclined to act on it quickly. It does not tell you the feeling will last. Knights of Wands arrive fast and leave the same way.
This is a thrilling card to draw about someone, and an honest one. The horse is rearing. Nobody has decided where it is going.
The Knight of Wands upright as feelings
Tina Gong's the Knight of Wands guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with energy, passion, adventure, impulsiveness and a lust for life. When the card lands in a position that asks how someone feels about you, I read those meanings as the shape of the feeling rather than as a verdict on the person.
Upright, I read the Knight of Wands as a person who wants you with heat and enthusiasm: they find you exciting, they pursue, they make things happen. The feeling is sincere in the moment and the moment is what it is built for.
What I would not read into it is steadiness. The Knight of Wands feels everything at full volume, including boredom, and the same engine that brought him to your door takes him to the next one if nothing holds his attention.
What the card does not tell you
The card does not confirm that the person is thinking of you as a partner rather than an adventure, that they will still feel this in a month, or that they are not also pursuing someone else with the same energy. No card lets a reader check a real person's private feelings. What a card can do is give you an honest picture of the feeling you are hoping for or fearing, and a prompt to compare it with how the person actually behaves.
The Knight of Wands reversed as feelings
Reversed, the Knight of Wands is often read as recklessness, frustration, or passion with no direction. As feelings, I read the reversal as attraction that burns out, or as a person who is all approach and no arrival: intense interest that fizzles before anything is built.
In your own question, ask which fits. Did the person come on strong and then cool? Or do they stay hot and never quite land, always about to and never doing? A reversed card is a prompt to notice which of those is true from what you can see, not a diagnosis of the other person.
The Knight of Wands as an ex's feelings
Asked about an ex, the Knight of Wands can suggest a flare of renewed desire: they want you again, suddenly and urgently. I would read that as a flare, not a return. The Knight's wanting is real and it is weather. My guide to asking a psychic whether an ex will come back explains what a reading can and cannot say about that question.
The Knight of Wands as a new person's feelings
For someone new, this card describes strong, fast attraction. It is a wonderful start if you can enjoy it as a start. The person who can keep a Knight of Wands is usually the one who does not try to.
What to watch for in their behaviour
Look for action over talk: they ask you out rather than hint, they show up, they make plans and chase them. A Knight of Wands feeling is visible in motion. If the motion stops, the feeling has usually gone with it, and no card will bring it back.
What to record before drawing again
Keep three short notes: the question you asked, how fast things have moved, and whether the pace has held or dropped. The third note tells you upright from reversed. Another draw will mostly reflect the same rearing horse.
For comparison, the Knight of Cups as feelings and the Knight of Swords as feelings describe different feelings.
