The Nine of Wands as an Outcome: Nearly There

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Nine of Wands as an outcome says you are close. Here is what it means in love, at work and reversed.

The Nine of Wands as an outcome is resilience. The situation is heading toward the last stretch: tiring, but close.

What the Nine of Wands means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Nine of Wands guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with resilience, courage, persistence and test of faith. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Nine of Wands shows the outcome as endurance rewarded. One more push gets you there.

The Nine of Wands reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Nine of Wands as an outcome warns of exhaustion or defensiveness. Rest is not giving up.

The Nine of Wands as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Nine of Wands points to guardedness after past hurt.

The Nine of Wands as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Nine of Wands as an outcome favours finishing despite setbacks. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Rest and persistence help this outcome.

For comparison, the Seven of Wands as an outcome and the Ten of Wands as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Nine of Wands card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Nine of Wands as advice, the Nine of Wands as feelings and the Nine of Wands as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
