The Page of Pentacles as Advice: Start Small and Learn

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Page of Pentacles as advice asks you to plant the seed. Here is how, and what the reversal says about procrastination.

If you want the short answer, the Page of Pentacles as advice says: start small and learn. Take the first practical step, study what you need to know, and build from there.

What the Page of Pentacles advises upright

Tina Gong's the Page of Pentacles guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with ambition, new opportunity, study and practical foundations. In an advice position I read those meanings as an instruction: the attitude or action the card is asking of you, rather than a description of what will happen. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Page of Pentacles advises diligent beginnings: the course, the savings plan, the first piece of real work.

What the Page of Pentacles is not asking you to do

The Page is not asking you to study forever without acting.

The Page of Pentacles reversed as advice

Reversed, the Page of Pentacles as advice says stop procrastinating. Plant the coin. A reversed card in an advice position is usually pointing at the habit that is getting in your way, not at a punishment.

The Page of Pentacles as advice in love

In love, the Page of Pentacles advises steady, practical care and taking things seriously.

The Page of Pentacles as advice for work and money

For work and money, it advises training, saving and starting with what is possible now. Advice from a card is reflection. For decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take it to someone qualified as well.

One step to take this week

Take one concrete practical step toward your goal this week, however small.

For comparison, the Knight of Pentacles as advice and the Page of Swords as advice ask different things of you. The the Page of Pentacles card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Page of Pentacles as a yes or no, the Page of Pentacles as feelings and the Page of Pentacles as timing cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
