The Knight of Pentacles as Advice: Keep Going Steadily

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Knight of Pentacles as advice asks for steady effort. Here is how, and what the reversal says about getting stuck.

If you want the short answer, the Knight of Pentacles as advice says: keep going steadily. Show up, do the work, and trust that consistency will get you there.

What the Knight of Pentacles advises upright

Tina Gong's the Knight of Pentacles guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with hard work, routine, responsibility and dependable progress. In an advice position I read those meanings as an instruction: the attitude or action the card is asking of you, rather than a description of what will happen. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Knight of Pentacles advises routine and reliability: the daily practice, the kept promise, the slow sure progress.

What the Knight of Pentacles is not asking you to do

The Knight is not asking you to never change course.

The Knight of Pentacles reversed as advice

Reversed, the Knight of Pentacles as advice says your routine has become a rut. Change one thing. A reversed card in an advice position is usually pointing at the habit that is getting in your way, not at a punishment.

The Knight of Pentacles as advice in love

In love, the Knight of Pentacles advises being dependable and patient.

The Knight of Pentacles as advice for work and money

For work and money, it advises steady effort and careful saving. Advice from a card is reflection. For decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take it to someone qualified as well.

One step to take this week
