The Eight of Wands as an Outcome: Things Move Fast

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Eight of Wands as an outcome means things speed up. Here is what that means for love, for work and when reversed.

The Eight of Wands as an outcome is speed. The situation is heading toward fast movement: messages, travel and quick developments.

What the Eight of Wands means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Eight of Wands guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with movement, fast-paced change, action and alignment. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Eight of Wands shows the outcome arriving quickly. Delays clear and things fall into place.

The Eight of Wands reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Eight of Wands as an outcome points to delays or frustration. Be patient and prepared.

The Eight of Wands as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Eight of Wands favours quick developments and messages.

The Eight of Wands as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Eight of Wands as an outcome favours fast-moving projects and travel. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Readiness helps this outcome. Be ready to move when it all starts.

For comparison, the Knight of Wands as an outcome and the Nine of Wands as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Eight of Wands card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Eight of Wands as advice, the Eight of Wands as feelings and the Eight of Wands as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
