Judgement as Advice: Answer the Call

Judgement as advice asks you to rise to a decision. Here is how, and what the reversal says about self-judgment.

If you want the short answer, Judgement as advice says: answer the call. Look honestly at the past, learn what it teaches, and make the decision you already know you need to make.

What Judgement advises upright

Tina Gong's Judgement guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with reflection, reckoning, awakening and a calling. In an advice position I read those meanings as an instruction: the attitude or action the card is asking of you, rather than a description of what will happen. The Major Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, Judgement advises a reckoning: review, forgive, decide, and act on the realisation you have been sitting on.

What Judgement is not asking you to do

Judgement is not asking you to condemn yourself. The review is for rising, not for staying in the grave.

Judgement reversed as advice

Reversed, Judgement as advice says you are avoiding the call or judging yourself too harshly to answer it. A reversed card in an advice position is usually pointing at the habit that is getting in your way, not at a punishment.

Judgement as advice in love

In love, Judgement advises the honest conversation and, where earned, the second chance.

Judgement as advice for work and money

For work and money, it advises the change you have been circling. Advice from a card is reflection. For decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take it to someone qualified as well.

One step to take this week

Write the decision you keep postponing. Set a date to make it.

For comparison, the Wheel of Fortune as advice and the World as advice ask different things of you. The Judgement card meaning page covers the card in full, and Judgement as a yes or no, Judgement as feelings and Judgement as timing cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
