The Knight of Swords as an Outcome: Charging Ahead

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Knight of Swords as an outcome moves at full speed. Here is what it means for love, for work and when reversed.

The Knight of Swords as an outcome is rapid movement. The situation is heading toward fast decisions and determined action, sometimes before everyone is ready.

What the Knight of Swords means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Knight of Swords guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with ambition, action-oriented, drive to succeed and fast thinking. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Knight of Swords shows the outcome driven by ambition. Things move quickly and obstacles are cut through. It favours decisiveness.

The Knight of Swords reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Knight of Swords as an outcome warns of rushing, rudeness or burning bridges. Speed without thought creates damage.

The Knight of Swords as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Knight of Swords favours direct pursuit, though sometimes with little patience for feelings. Slow down for the other person.

The Knight of Swords as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Knight of Swords as an outcome favours ambitious pushes, debate and fast-moving projects. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Clear thinking helps this outcome. Move fast, and check where you are aiming.

For comparison, the Knight of Wands as an outcome and the Chariot as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Knight of Swords card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Knight of Swords as advice, the Knight of Swords as feelings and the Knight of Swords as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
