The Three of Wands as an Outcome: Expansion

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Three of Wands as an outcome is growth and expansion. Here is what it means in love, at work and reversed.

The Three of Wands as an outcome is expansion. The situation is heading toward progress, with plans starting to bear fruit and new horizons opening.

What the Three of Wands means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Three of Wands guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with progress, expansion, foresight and overseas opportunities. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Three of Wands shows the outcome moving outward. Ships come in, plans take hold and travel or long-distance connections may play a part.

The Three of Wands reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Three of Wands as an outcome points to delays or plans that hit obstacles. Patience and flexibility help.

The Three of Wands as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Three of Wands favours growth, long-distance love or a relationship expanding into new territory.

The Three of Wands as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Three of Wands as an outcome favours international work, expansion and growth. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Foresight helps this outcome. Keep looking ahead and be ready when the opening comes.

For comparison, the Two of Wands as an outcome and the Four of Wands as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Three of Wands card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Three of Wands as advice, the Three of Wands as feelings and the Three of Wands as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
