The Two of Wands as an Outcome: Planning Ahead

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Two of Wands as an outcome is about planning your next move. Here is what it says about where things are heading.

The Two of Wands as an outcome is planning. The situation is heading toward a decision about the bigger picture and which way to go next.

What the Two of Wands means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Two of Wands guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with future planning, progress, decisions and discovery. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Two of Wands shows the outcome as a moment of looking out at the world with a plan in hand. You have options and the confidence to choose.

The Two of Wands reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Two of Wands as an outcome warns of fear of the unknown or planning that never turns into action.

The Two of Wands as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Two of Wands points to deciding the future of a relationship or choosing between staying and going.

The Two of Wands as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Two of Wands as an outcome favours strategy, expansion and long-range plans. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Vision helps this outcome. Decide where you want to be, then plan the first move.

For comparison, the Three of Wands as an outcome and the World as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Two of Wands card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Two of Wands as advice, the Two of Wands as feelings and the Two of Wands as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
