The Wheel of Fortune as an Outcome: A Turn of Luck

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Wheel of Fortune as an outcome says things are about to turn. Here is what that means upright, reversed, in love and for work.

The Wheel of Fortune as an outcome is change. The situation is heading toward a turning point, and upright that turn usually favours you. Events speed up and things that were stuck begin to move.

What the Wheel of Fortune means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Wheel of Fortune guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with good luck, karma, life cycles, destiny and a turning point. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Major Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Wheel shows fortune turning in your direction. Opportunities appear, timing lines up and you find yourself in the right place. It is a reminder that cycles move, so what is hard now will not stay that way.

The Wheel of Fortune reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Wheel of Fortune as an outcome points to a downturn or resistance to change. Something you cannot control shifts against you for a while. The lesson is to adapt rather than hold on to how things were.

The Wheel of Fortune as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Wheel favours fated-feeling meetings and sudden developments. A relationship may change shape quickly. Reversed, it can describe an old pattern repeating until it is recognised.

The Wheel of Fortune as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Wheel of Fortune as an outcome points to change in circumstances: a new opportunity, a reshuffle or a lucky break. Stay flexible. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Readiness helps this outcome. Say yes when the opening appears, and do not cling to the old plan when the ground moves.

For comparison, the World as an outcome and the Tower as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Wheel of Fortune card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Wheel of Fortune as advice, the Wheel of Fortune as feelings and the Wheel of Fortune as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
