The Queen of Wands as Advice: Be Confident and Visible

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Queen of Wands as advice asks you to be seen. Here is how, and what the reversal says about insecurity and control.

If you want the short answer, the Queen of Wands as advice says: be confident and visible. Take the lead, be warm, and stop waiting to be invited.

What the Queen of Wands advises upright

Tina Gong's the Queen of Wands guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with confidence, independence, warmth and determination. In an advice position I read those meanings as an instruction: the attitude or action the card is asking of you, rather than a description of what will happen. The Minor Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Queen of Wands advises self-assurance: host it, run it, say what you want, take up your space.

What the Queen of Wands is not asking you to do

The Queen is not asking you to dominate or compete with everyone.

The Queen of Wands reversed as advice

Reversed, the Queen of Wands as advice says rebuild your confidence quietly, or check whether jealousy is steering you. A reversed card in an advice position is usually pointing at the habit that is getting in your way, not at a punishment.

The Queen of Wands as advice in love

In love, the Queen of Wands advises warmth and directness.

The Queen of Wands as advice for work and money

For work and money, it advises putting yourself forward. Advice from a card is reflection. For decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take it to someone qualified as well.

One step to take this week

Do one thing this week that requires you to be visible, and do it without apologising.

For comparison, the King of Wands as advice and the Sun as advice ask different things of you. The the Queen of Wands card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Queen of Wands as a yes or no, the Queen of Wands as feelings and the Queen of Wands as timing cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
