The Star as an Outcome: Hope and Healing

Written by Chaya the Medium.

The Star as an outcome is one of the gentlest results in tarot. Here is what it means for love, for work and when reversed.

The Star as an outcome is hope. The situation is heading toward healing and renewal, especially after something difficult. It is a calm, clear result that restores your faith.

What the Star means as an outcome upright

Tina Gong's the Star guide at Labyrinthos associates the upright card with hope, faith, purpose, renewal and spirituality. In the outcome position I read those meanings as the likely direction of the situation if things carry on as they are now. An outcome card is not a fixed sentence. It shows where the current road leads, and roads can be changed. The Major Arcana overview at Biddy Tarot is a useful second reference.

Upright, the Star shows the outcome bringing relief and quiet optimism. Wounds begin to heal and the future looks brighter. It favours honesty, openness and trusting that things are moving in the right direction.

The Star reversed as an outcome

Reversed, the Star as an outcome points to discouragement or lost faith. The healing is available, but you may not believe in it yet. Small acts of hope bring the upright meaning back.

The Star as a love outcome

As a love outcome, the Star favours healing connections and relationships built on openness. After heartbreak, it points to recovery and the chance to love again without the old fear.

The Star as an outcome for work and money

For work and money, the Star as an outcome favours meaningful work, creative projects and gradual recovery after a setback. A card can describe a direction; for decisions with legal, medical or financial weight, take advice from someone qualified as well.

What helps this outcome along

Hope helps this outcome. Look after yourself gently and keep your attention on what you want to grow toward.

For comparison, the Tower as an outcome and the Sun as an outcome point somewhere different. The the Star card meaning page covers the card in full, and the Star as advice, the Star as feelings and the Star as a yes or no cover the other questions people most often ask of it.
